The Barham Downs Action Group (BDAG) has circulated its second update. This includes news on the latest plans produced by Quinn Estates and HICO, and a report on the consultation in Bridge on 18 February. To access this update click here.
Please can you include the recent Residential Questionnaire Form onto the web which can be completed on line and returned. No scanner. We are unable to attend on the dates shown.
We are against the sheer size of the development. I have left a built up area for yjr countryside and village life. For those who want Highland Court proposed facilities and entertainment they are clearly living in an area which doesn’t suit them. In which case they are free to move to built-up areas, similar the one I have left.
Having said that, the area around Highland Court is disgusting with the amount of debris, litter and heavy goods vehicles parked for the night. Why is nothing being done about this appalling mess? Couldn’t believe one heavy goods vehicle parked up for the night actually had a massive notice stuck onto his front windscreen “DO NOT DISTURB”. Many drivers are using the hedgerows, side paths, etc. as their own public lavatories, the smell of which is disgusting on a dry sunny day. How many more of these HGV’s will be lining the streets of our villages if the Park is to be hugely increased in size. Just saying.
Hi Maureen
Thanks for your useful comments especially with regard to the state of the area now. That’s awful. It’s a pity you weren’t able to attend the recent Quinn event. I did attend and completed the questionnaire offered by Bekesbourne and Patrixbourne (is that the one you meant?). I didnt take a hard copy. I think if you want to get access you should contact Gail Hubbard (I think that’s her name) at clerk.bwp@outlook.com. If she is able to send you the form by email feel free to forward it on to me to put on the website). Also be sure to follow the Barham Downs Action Group on Facebook in case you are not already onto them.
Best regards
